Formspring for iOS

Lead Designer

Serving 27 million registered users via the website, Formspring for iOS brings questions and responses to you on the go.

One of the main goals of the iOS app is to have a feed that is easy to read and scan. A big challenge is being able to show to easily display all the content between both users for every response. Heavily focusing on the responder — assuming you follow your friends and you want to know what your friends are doing — became a focus that we've now carried on to the website.

Formspring for iOS was also the beginning of our photos feature. We launched photos through our iOS app and then rolled it out on the website shortly after. This launched the ability to quickly send out pictures as questions and responses.

The inbox on iOS allows you to view all the other responses to the question before you decide what you want to say. All responses can be viewed anywhere you see a question throughout the app.

The ask feature of iOS allows you to syndicate to Facebook and Twitter, add photos and even send your questions to your contacts that aren't on Formspring yet. The best part is that you have all that functionally in one screen.
